Reverend Dr. Dennis Leach, Sr.

Dr. Leach was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Heartwell, and Irene Williams-Leach. He entered the United States Army where he served for twenty years, retiring in 1993. He received numerous awards and decorations to include the Meritious Service Medal, two Army Accommodation Medals, seven Army Achievement Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, and the South-East Asia Service Medal before retiring.

He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University in 1995, a Master of Divinity Degree from Morehouse School of Religion, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2012 from Drew University.

He became an ordained minister in 1984. He served as Pastor of the Zion Baptist Church in Mannheim, Germany, as the Assistant to the Pastor for Congregational Care, and Pastoral Counseling at the Lewis Chapel Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC, as Pastor of First Baptist Church of High Point, NC, and currently the Senior Pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist, where he has faithfully served since 2009.

He is happily married to the former Ms. Charolette Geraldine Hagan, and they are the proud parents of five children and grandparents of four grandchildren.
